Director & Executive Chef

Ryan Fitzpatrick

Excellence was inevitable for Ryan with a career shaped by some of Australia’s best Chefs. Ryan took his apprenticeship at Sails Restaurant Noosa under Head Chef Paul Leete (Il Centro) and then went on to work at the then Noosa institution, Berardos (Bruno Loubet, Shaun Morris). He then went on to work at Melbourne’s The Press Club, where the restaurant attained two Chef Hats and numerous awards. Ryan’s career has been one of a chef’s dream. His passion for travel led him to becoming a private chef for high-end clients, celebrities, sports stars and businesspeople across the French Alps and the Mediterranean. Ryan returned to Noosa as Head Chef at Berardos On the Beach, focusing on clean and contemporary bistro dishes. He then went on to Ricky’s River Bar & Restaurant under Glenn Bowman (Alegria, The Edge) as Sous Chef. It was here Ryan’s appreciation for premium produce and finer ingredients peaked. A call to the seas saw Ryan take a Head Chef position on board Encore, a 48m Sail Yacht. Ryan sailed through Fiji, Hawaii and other Pacific Nations crafting new dishes using the freshest seafood, and locally sourced meats and produce with the help of villagers. After six years and tens of thousands of sea miles, Ryan’s passion for exquisite dishes, international cuisine and a love for creating premium dining experiences, saw him launch The Ohana Group with his partner, Rashi.

Director & Head Planner/ Stylist

Rashi Devendra

Rashi heads our events and styling team and is the creative talent who brings your Ohana event experience to life. With more than a decade of experience in the weddings and event industry, Rashi is a specialist in event styling, coordination and planning – leaving no stone unturned, or table top out of place. Born in Lautoka city, Fiji Islands, Rashi grew up helping her parents setup functions. Her early exposure to creating floristry art and perfecting styling is what gives Rashi her distinctive creative flair and eye for detail. Rashi has an innate talent and craft for creating unique experiences, often custom making countless stunning props, arbours, mandap and floristry art, combined to create a magical setting that takes your breath away. Rashi’s creative flair, attention to detail, efficiency and industry experience have seen her in the role of director, senior stylist and florist of Dreamz Wedding Planner for a decade. Her specialty is destination and cultural weddings, having been involved in weddings held on Denarau Island, Fiji, and as preferred supplier for resorts such as Sheraton, Westin, Hilton, Sofitel and The Yacht Club – the Rhum Ba. Rashi takes care to personalise your wedding or event with creativity, love and style to ensure your special occasion is elegant, authentic and unforgettable.

Head Chef

Graham Waddell

Graham is our incredible Head Chef who spectacularly delights our client’s tastebuds. Highly experienced and acclaimed, Graham has headed up several high-end restaurants including the multi-award winning Baguette Bistrot + Bar where he took out the AGFG Chef Hat Award in 2014. Graham’s Scottish origins and experience across international waters from London to Glasgow saw him develop a French flair to his style. Working in Melbourne, Brisbane and now Noosa, Graham delivers an exciting take on contemporary cuisine. Graham’s passion for food and how it brings people together is expressed through our Ohana menus.

Beverage Consultant

Grant Hawthorne

Grant is the founder of The Bartenders and The Ohana Group’s Beverage Consultant. Grant is a true Sunshine Coast local and calls Noosa home. He gained his passion for cocktails and refined his professional service as Bar Manager of Sofitel Noosa, where he opened the Riviera Lounge and developed a range of signature cocktails. After establishing his professional reputation and mixology craft, Grant pursued his passion for creating memorable experiences by establishing his own mix of great service, handcrafted drinks and personal touch as The Bartenders. Grant wows our clients with a tailored mix of classic and signature cocktails that add to the premium, unique Ohana dining and event experience.

The event set up was sensational and everyone commented on the thoughtfully curated décor and floral arrangements that totally suited our theme. If I could give 6 stars, I would!
